It’s done by a blood draw from the patient’s own blood supply. The blood sample will then be processed in a centrifuge to separate the blood cells like white blood cells from platelets, increasing the concentration of platelets in the process. The patient’s platelet-rich plasma with the concentrated growth factors will then be injected into the affected area of the scalp skin that exhibits hair loss at equal spacing. These growth factors will help stimulate the growth of a new hair follicle because they’re capable of acting as angiogenic factors, meaning they enable the stimulation of a better blood flow towards the affected area which leads to better oxygen flow and nutrition that the hair needs for hair growth. How Microneedling Works Microneedling is first done by putting numbing cream on the area where the procedure will be done.
